It's back! The 13/22 SuperSear is a simple drop-in replacement for the Crosman factory sear that provides greatly improved trigger characteristics in Crosman 1377 and 2240 type air pistols. And as we all know, improved trigger performance translates into improved accuracy downrange when shooting!
Compared to the factory sear, the 13/22 SuperSear provides a clear two-stage trigger pull with a well-defined second stage let-off. The 13/22 SuperSear also gives a lighter and more consistent, predictable trigger pull.
Testing at Archer Airguns showed a reduction in pull weight of 30% compared to the factory sear, together with a 10% reduction in spread of trigger pull weights during a 10-shot string.
Yet these improvements require no complicated adjustments to achieve. The 13/22 SuperSear is a genuine drop-in replacement. Just remove the right trigger grip and trigger side plate to fit. Detailed installation instructions are supplied with the kit.
The 13/22 SuperSear also fits all 2300 models, although the sear spring may require adjusting to a heavier preload for a safe trigger weight.
Designed and manufactured especially for Archer Airguns by the noted airgun innovator and engineer, Steve_in_NC.
The 13/22 SuperSear is precision CNC-manufactured from high quality Aluminum with alloy steel, load-bearing, wear-resistant, precision machined pins. (Note that the compression marks visible on the surface are a result of the manufacturing process and are have no effect on performance). Itís supplied complete with three stainless steel washers that fit on either side of the sear and trigger pins - one is already included in the gun - and reduce the unpleasant side-to-side slop of the factory trigger mechanism.
The 13/22 SuperSear fits 1377, 1322, 2240 and PC77 Pumpmaster Classic air pistols. It also fits the Crosman Backpacker Bugout Kit, older versions of the 1377 and 2240 and similar models such as the 1789 and 2289. The SuperSear does NOT fit the first variant 1377 and 1322 pistols with steel breeches that were manufactured between 1977 and 1981.
NOTE. The 13/22 SuperSear is designed for use with the standard factory trigger assembly. We strongly recommend that installation is followed by a very careful safety check before the gun is used for shooting.
If the 13/22 SuperSear is added to a trigger mechanism thatís already been modified, itís not always possible to predict the outcome - especially if a substitute (lighter and/or shorter) sear spring is installed. We strongly suggest that you you use the standard factory sear spring to avoid the possibility of the trigger becoming too light and, hence, dangerous or failing to cock correctly.
