Description Technical Specs   By popular request, this is the Archer Airguns "Custom" version of the AR2079A air rifle. Improvements include an extended buttstock to provide a longer length of pull, elimination of the iron sights and the addition of a muzzle weight to the barrel. This rifle is sold without a CO2 source, but can be used with the Avanti tank with or without on/off valve (both available here), a paintball tank of up to 2-inches diameter with or without an on/off valve (available here), or using Crosman Air Source 88g cartridges with an adapter (widely available almost everywhere). The average number of “good” shots with different types of tank are: 2.5-ounce Daisy Avanti tank about 150 (re-fillable) 88g AirSource tank (adapter required) about 220 (single use) 3.5-ounce paintball tank about 240 (re-fillable) 9-ounce paintball tank about 630 (re-fillable) PLEASE READ. The AR2079A Custom works with paintball tanks having a maximum outside diameter of 2.000 inches. 9-oz and 3.5-oz tanks are normally 2-inches in nominal diameter, but can actually be larger in actual diameter - particularly if they are of alloy construction. If the tank is larger than 2.000 inches in outside diameter, it may not fit the gun. To prevent problems, we recommend that this air rifle is fitted with the JRA Breech Spacer shown at the lower right of this page under "Popular Accessories".
