Because they’re fun, that’s why! Mid-power springers such as the QB57 are easy to cock and accurate to shoot. And there’s no need to worry about “barrel droop” and what to do about it – as there is with many break barrel spring powered air rifles.
Unlike high power springers, midpower sidelevers don’t make great demands on your arm muscles to cock. And they’re not sensitive to holding techniques – just pick one up and shoot. It’s easy to be accurate with these guns.
High powered springers require specific, and not intuitive, holding techniques to be consistently accurate. One thousand feet per second muzzle velocity sounds great – but it’s no good if you can’t hit the target!
Our sidelever springers are selected for value, accuracy and fun. But be prepared, they have solid metal and wood construction – there’s very little plastic to be found. These are guns built in the traditional manner and they have a solid feel and weight that’s satisfying to hold.
SAFETY WARNING!
Care When Loading: Whenever loading a side-lever air rifle, keep your arm between the open side lever and the gun. This is to prevent the lever accidentally slamming shut and injuring your fingers while loading. Even if the gun has an "anti-bear trap" feature - such as the QB57 - still use this procedure.
