In Archer Airguns Gold service testing, muzzle velocity for the Stoeger X20 in .177 caliber is around 900 fps with lead pellets (very typical for air rifles with a claimed 1,000 fps muzzle velocity) and closely matches the 1,200 fps specification with lead free pellets. Tested accuracy is excellent with 0.5-inch CTC groups of 10 shots at 10 yards. And, unusually for a high-powered spring air rifle, it's not necessary to use the "Artillery Hold" for accurate shooting, a normal hold also gives fine results - this is a great benefit.
This Stoeger X20 features a weatherproof black synthetic Monte Carlo style stock. The X20 stock is suitable for use by both left handed and right handed shooters and the high comb gives a good cheek weld for accurate shooting with the scope. The automatic safety is also ambidextrous.
The Stoeger X20 is ideal for hunting birds and small game, also for plinking and target shooting. It's well-sized for the average adult shooter and the two-stage trigger is pleasant to use.
