This is a complete kit that enables you to upgrade the stock of any QB78 or AR2078-type air rifle to the latest synthetic version. Also fits TF78 and Crosman 160 air rifles.
Includes the complete synthetic stock, plus replacement barrel band, forend screw and hex key. (The regular barrel band is not used with the synthetic stock as it has no fixing for the foreend stock screw.
This is the stock and barrel band that is used on the QB78S air rifle.
Fairly easy installation:
set the safety (Part Number 3300) to SAFE, then remove the safety
by pushing it out of the trigger housing with a wooden dowel (or
other non-metal rod) from the non-lever side. It pops right out of
the opposite side of the trigger housing. Remove the stock bolt (Part
Number 3200) in front of the trigger guard, then pull the action
up and out of the stock - make sure to catch the washer (Part Number
3100). When re-assembling, push the safety plunger fully up with
a small screwdriver in order to re-insert the safety from the "bolt
side" of the gun. DO NOT LET THE SCREWDRIVER SLIP OFF THE PLUNGER
AND INTO YOUR FINGER.
Remove existing barrel band and replace with new one. Secure with screw through stock forend once synthetic stock is in place on action.
