I am very pleased so far with the QB78 CO2 air rifle I received. It is of very good quality especially for the price paid. The wood stock is well finished and open sights work very well. With a good scope it is even more accurate. Also, since it is CO2 powered there little or no recoil so the scope is less likley to move. I wish I had the larger bolt installed when I bought the rifle since this wood make cocking the rifle a little easier. The trigger pull is very nice compared many of the springers I have. My only concern is that all the CO2 powered rifles and pistols have valve leakage eventually and then they must be fixed. I bought the book covering the QB78 family and I think this will allow me to repair a valve leak when it happens. I hope this does not happen for a long time. Finally, this gun is fun to shoot, not too heavy, well made, very accurate and the sevice was top notch.

Thank you

Man, between Rick's excellent review, the positive testimonials and the quiet confidence Mr. Archer exudes, I had no choice but to get the QB78D, including the gold service, from Archer Air Guns. I wasn't disappointed.  When I opened the very attractive box I think I spent the first five minutes just looking at this gorgeous instrument. The wood grain had a very nice dark pattern with a reddish hue. The bluing was top notch, as was the fit and finish. The test target showed the gun to be very accurate, and it was accompanied with a read out of the velocities. I gassed it up and  used RWS 14.0gr .22 Meisterkugeln pellets. Without touching the sights I shot a five-shot group at 10 meters that I could cover completely with a dime. I was impressed. I've had it for a few weeks now and still haven't needed to adjust the sights. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with an air rifle purchase. Mr. Archer, I commend you on a very fine product and excellent service.

5 of 5 Quality April 19, 2011

Back in the 1960’s, I bought a Crosman model 160 air rifle, I had it for about 15 years, and gave it to a young man that wanted a air rifle... And there were times that I kind of missed the ugly duckling, because the craftsmanship was pretty bad, there were all kinds of tool marks on the barrel and breech... so I decided to replace it with the QB78... In all honesty I must say that it was a very powerful and accurate rifle...

When I received my QB78 from Archer Air Guns, the first thing I noticed was the quality of the gun, a person can not help but noticing the gun is made by some of the finest Craftsmen in the gun making business, the QB78 is an absolute work of art... I don’t know if Mr. Archer tuned the trigger on the gun I received, I just know that it is fantastic... Speaking as a person that likes match triggers, or hair triggers on a gun, this one is perfect...

5 of 5 Very Highly recommended March 29, 2011

Funny how a on sale $89 air rifle ended up costing $300.  (Okay I had it decked out and ordered a bunch of other stuff too.)  Highly recommend the added goodies.  Wonderful target rifle.  I've been officially warned by the spouse that yard bunnies are off limits.  I must go out in the woods.  Lucky for them, they would not have stood a chance.  Buy it now, don't wait.

Just received my QB78 Deluxe in .22, played hooky from work for a little bit, and took it out back for a few quick shots.  Wow.  What a beautiful rifle!  I can tell this thing shoots more accurately than me!  Very nice heft, like a .22 rimfire!  Very crisp shooting rifle!  Banged a few pellet tin caps and the power seems close, maybe even a bit more than my Crosman 2240 14" lightly modded carbine!  Can't wait to start modifying, but I'm going to take my time with this one and enjoy myself for a couple thousand rounds first.  Thanks so much Archer for a great gun at a great price!  Loving it!

5 of 5 The Great Service from The Archers July 4, 2010

Don't have any doubt about the Archer service being great. I am very pleased with the 'up and beyond' service I always receive from Stephen Archer's team. The qb78 is a unbelievable value. The gun does everything great from dead on accurate to great looks and the Archers are very helpful with any requests. Also, the xp tune kit is super if more power is what you need and not hard to install.

Received my rifle a few days before christmas and I must say that I am very pleased with fit and finish of the rifle. I ordered the "Gold Service" option and  the target and chrony readings showed just what the rifle was capabable of. Thanks Steve for selling a great product.

5 of 5 QB 78 Deluxe Rifle July 8, 2009

I am a field target shooter as well as a former US Army Sniper. It only took me 10 seconds to know this is a well built air rifle. I have  BSA, Webley & Scott and a Weirauch air rifles. All over $500.  The QB 78 finish is as nice as those. I mounted a Leapers Bug Buster scope to mine and a custon muzzle brake. It is very accurate for the 10 meter targets. I get nickel size groups at 20 yards. I also opted for the Gold Service with this rifle. Archer Airguns are the only people that do a service like that. It is worth the cost compared to getting a faulty rifle. For the price, you can't go wrong. Archer even has spare and replacement parts. You can do all the repairs and upgrades yourself. Yes, there other Chinese airgun sellers out there. I actually purchased a rifle from one of the others. It arrived UPS with the rifle hanging out of the box. It was shipped in its original Chinese paper quality box. Go and look for yourself. You will come back to Archer Airguns.
