IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING:
These breech seals are approximately 100 Thou (2.5 mm) thick. The Chinese manufacturer of Crosman and Benjamin break barrel airguns unfortunately used a few deep breech seals at random during the production of all these models. These were approximately twice the thickness.
We suggest that you check the thickness of the breech seal in your gun before ordering.
The manufacturer never told Crosman/Benjamin about this unauthorized part change and there are no records relating to serial numbers etc. that we know of. So Crosman/Benjamin never knew about this issue. There’s no way for any owner to know until they remove a breech seal from their gun. That's how we found out!
Archer Airguns used to have a supply of “thick” breech seals, precisely to address this issue. Unfortunately we sold them all and have not been able to obtain a fresh supply for some time. If you have a "thick" breech seal, then this part will NOT be
suitable.
The best suggestion we can make - under the circumstances - is
that you
turn the old breech seal over and see if it seals better that way round.
DO NOT DISASSEMBLE your air rifle for any reason unless you know what to do and how to do it safely. You may risk serious injury or even death! If you have any doubts, you should contact a professional airgunsmith. Dis-assembling the air rifle will invalidate the Crosman warranty on your air rifle.
